I wanted to share another sneak peek into Peaceful Moments. This time I’m sharing the poem I had the most struggle around including. The background painting is symbolic and carefully planned. The black symbolizes the battle that we are currently in. The red symbolizes the blood of Jesus, our Messiah. The yellow symbolizes the light of the Lord that is shining into the darkness even though we might not see it in the midst of our struggles. The gray symbolizes the darkness lifting. When we are at our darkest and feel most like giving up…that is often when we are closest to our victory and overcoming the monster we are battling.

We all have battles in our lives: addictions, depression, anxiety, suicide, our identity, relationship struggles…the list can go on. When we are in the midst of our battle it can feel like it will never end. Sometimes it even feels as though the monster we are battling is winning the fight. I wrote “The Battle” when I was in the middle of one such struggle. I felt like I was at the end of my rope and the monster I was fighting had won. BUT Abba (my Heavenly Father) stepped in. His light shined into the dark place I was in and I followed that light to VICTORY!

The LORD hears his people when they
call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
Psalm 34:17

That is what Abba did for me. He heard my cry and, through counseling and RTF (Restoring the Foundations) He healed me of my anxiety and depression by breaking off the lies and unGodly beliefs that I believed about myself and replacing them when the truth. What He did for me He can do for you as well! You are an OVERCOMER and you can and will overcome the monster you are fighting in your life! If you are where I was, dear friend, know that there is HOPE even though it may not feel like it. You can find freedom!
